Cookies & Local Storage
Last updated: February 2026 · Effective: February 2026
The Short Version
- We never use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and never sell or share this data.
- Essential storage (staying signed in, your theme, caching) always runs — it's needed for the app to work.
- Optional, first-party analytics (which parts of the app get used) only run if you say yes in the banner.
What We Store
bigradio uses your browser's local storage and a small number of essential cookies to run the service:
- •Authentication — tokens that keep you signed in across page loads.
- •Preferences — your theme (light/dark) and layout choices.
- •Caching — lightweight caches (e.g. legal pages) for performance.
This storage is strictly necessary to run the service, so it isn't something you can opt out of individually — see "Optional Analytics" below for the one category that is optional.
We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, or third-party analytics.
Optional Analytics
We run limited, first-party analytics to understand traffic sources (where visitors come from) and which parts of the app get used, so we can improve it. This is not advertising, it never leaves our own systems, and it's never combined with data brokers — but it also isn't strictly necessary to deliver the service, so we ask first.
When you first visit, a banner asks you to allow or decline this analytics. Declining (or ignoring the banner) means none of it runs. You can change your mind later by clearing your browser's local storage for this site, which resets the prompt.
Your Control
You can clear cookies and local storage at any time from your browser settings. Clearing authentication storage will sign you out. Essential storage can't be selectively disabled without breaking core functionality like staying logged in — but the optional analytics described above can always be declined without affecting anything else.
